Introduction

Smart Farm is one of my earliest Internet of Things projects. It is a greenhouse automation, remote control and monitoring system. It saves you the time and energy to perform common repetitive tasks through automation via an internet-enabled smartphone or computer via a mobile/web app.

Project details

Smart Farm incorporates an array of sensors used in agriculcuture like soild moisture sensor, temperature and humidity sensor among others to monitor key parameters for optimal plant growth. In a greenhouse, water source and fertilizer dosing components are usually installed. Smart Farm includes actuators that open and close valves, monitor flow rate and mix dosing measures.

The initial concept of the project was to implement it in a hydroponic greenhouse but it can also be integrated to other agricultural projects.
